On Saturday we welcomed JACOB (a Jacob sheep) who will be JULIET LOUISE’s husband here at Winterpast Farm.
Jacob sheep can have up to six horns. Ours has four. He seems to like JULIET and is getting along with everyone else in the barnyard.
JULIET is a mixed breed so there is a chance she will breed this winter and have a summer lamb. We will just have to wait and see.
Farmer Mary, her friends and some of the regular farm visitors and volunteers, her four teens, her teens friends,and more enjoyed a huge bonfire last night at the farm. Over 200 trees were burned and a few remain for next time.
Farmer Mary and son, Alex, spent the morning sharing friendly animals from Winterpast Farm at a Birthday Party.
The nice, warm garage, hosted the dwarf chicken, a small duck, a Crested Polish hen, lots of bunnies of all ages…a good time was had by all!! Girls enjoyed holding the baby bunnies the most and some enjoyed hanging out in the pens with the animals.
Farmer Mary will be taking her animals to two away events on Saturday, so the farm will be closed all day.
