Two goats, aged 3 years old and 6 months old, just arrived at Winterpast Farm. Our sweet baby hair sheep, CHARLOTTE ROSE (in the pink bandana) was the first to greet them. Come see them soon!
UPDATE-new names are GLORIA for the older one and BELLA for the baby. Farmer Mary thinks GLORIA may be quite pregnant…we will wait and see! Here is BELLA on Instagram with Farmer Mary’s daughter, Elizabeth. Follow us!!

Our new mini pony has a new friend in PETUNIA the pot belly “teacup pig” who was donated to Winterpast Farm last year when she grew too big to live in her private home.
Learn MoreEarly this week residents and staff from Falls River Village & Court, a North Raleigh Lifestyle Communitu, visited Winterpast Farm for a field trip and picnic. The farm is perfect for Seniors who all have a farm or animal experience they can share. Farmer Mary and her new old dog, BARNEY, greeted the visitors. They all had a lovely morning together outdoors meeting, feeding and holding a wide variety of animals.
Walking a bunny on a leash, feeding a baby goat, meeting DORIS the goose, then a picnic under the huge shade trees. Farmer Mary is happy to schedule farm visits for all size groups of all ages.
Last night a new animal moved to Winterpast Farm! She is a 3 year old mini horse who had originally been rescued from a hoarding situation. We have high hopes for her fitting in here. We will be working on brushing her and getting her used to our care. Visitors are welcome to bring some carrots and apple slices to offer her during farm visits.
