FARMER’S DAUGHTER HEADING TO BOONE

The “Farmer’s Daughter” is heading to Boone this Fall for a two year “Scholars With Diverse Abilities Program”!!!!! The official notification just arrived today!!!!!! Farmer Mary will need lots of volunteers to make up for Elizabeth who has been her partner at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo. Stay tuned for a sign up genious link and please consider volunteering to help Farmer Mary continue to take care of and feed all the former pets now living at Winterpast Farm.

Farmer Mary will post Elizabeth’s phone number and address so you can stay in touch with Elizabeth or go see her any time you head to the mountains.

When Farmer Mary adopted Elizabeth from Russia at age 7 the orphanage said she would never count past three. Farmer May said, in court in Russia, “Well she can count to three at my farm. She will be better off in a family.” She has graduated from Millbrook High where she was on Colorguard all four years. She has her own business: “Elizabeth’s Helping Hands”. And now she is heading to college…

CLOSED FOR RAIN TODAY

CLOSED FOR RAIN TODAY:(

The three week old triplet goat babies are always such good “helpers” when Farmer Mary is changing the fabric lining the bunny and guinea pig cages! She got all the cages cleaned between rain showers yesterday at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.

Today the forecast is for possible very heavy showers and sudden thunderstorms all day long so Farmer Mary’s closing the farm to visits. Covering all the cages even quickly during a sudden downpour allows some bunnies and other animals to get soaked and that’s very bad for them. On rainy days always please text to find out how the weather is at the farm before making your plans! Update-have had steady rain or sprinkles all morning

Winterpast Farm Schedule:

CLOSED for rain Sat May 19 (Farmer Mary will pick another day for wearing overalls for half price admission!)

OPEN Mon May 21 from 10-5 (if no rain)

CLOSED Tues,Wed,Thurs
