This Pekin breed duck originally arrived at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC early this Spring with other little yellow Easter ducklings that people had purchased as pets or photographers had used for Easter photography.
The yellow fluff soon turned to white feathers and a crest began to appear on just this one duck’s head. Farmer Mary likes the look and she had been hoping it was a female since we already have a mature male Pekin duck at Winterpast Farm named DONALD who probably wouldn’t like to share his wife, QUACKERS.
Turns out the crested duck is a male who now hangs out exclusively with two pretty black and white Ancona female ducks. His name will be ANTHONY.
