Farmer Mary and her daughter and HENRY (the cutest) puppy were stocking up on animal feed today at their very favorite feed store Tractor Supply Co. (Knightdale, NC) where the employees are always happy to help their customers. They have a really beautiful selection of hanging baskets and vegetable plants right now!
Farm visitors often assume that the carrots and apples and other animal food they bring to feed the animals on farm visits are all that the animals at Winterpast Farm eat. Not so! Farmer Mary spends about $800 a month on feed and supplies and hay for all the animals living (and eating!) at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.
