MABEL, one of two mini donkeys living at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC really LOVES apples!!! What a great photo taken by a recent farm visitor.
When we have lots of visitors who are happily holding bunnies and guinea pigs and baby chicks MABEL will start to bray very very loudly to remind them all about the poor donkeys out in the pasture who need some food and attention.
MABEL says please bring lots of apples when you visit Winterpast Farm. Carrots and grapes and kale are also acceptable but not her favorite.
MABEL and her pal CLAIRE were donated to Winterpast Farm several years ago when a 4-H program closed. They go with Farmer Mary to local live nativities around Christmas. Come meet them soon. Bring apples!
