WATER LILIES READY TO BLOOM

Farmer Mary found a water lily getting ready to bloom in one of the pots of plants around the pond at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC! Look in the top center of the photo for a little spikey tight flower bud poking up just under a water lily leaf. She was also happy to find a few Water Hyacinths had made it through the winter; they very rarely survive the cold.

The in ground pool that Farmer Mary turned into a pond now houses many former pet fish and turtles. Come try out our new catapult that helps throw bread and cereal and greens to the fish and turtles living in the pond at Winterpast.

Farmer Mary is always looking for donations of perennials to plant around the pond which receives full sun. Please keep our pond in mind if you are dividing up plants.

Please read “your visit” at www.winterpast.org.
