A few times a year Farmer Mary finds a teeny egg like this green one at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC . She calls them teenage eggs meaning a young chickens first egg. Some old hens eventually lay tiny eggs and then no eggs at all.  Some call them Fairy eggs. A first egg or a last egg. They are sure cute!

Farmer Mary has chicken and duck eggs for sale. Duck eggs have a higher white to yolk ratio and are particularly good for baking. $5 a dozen helps support all the birds including some retired former pet chickens now living at Winterpast Farm. 

Paid farm visit is not required for purchase.  You can text Farmer Mary at 919-244-1800 and she can leave a dozen or two out at the old tobacco barn for contactless pickup any time. Just pay in the box at the gate. The tiny green egg is available for purchase.

BTW: We have alot of dogs here. If you don’t love dogs please don’t come!

Please look for the VERY VERY well marked entrance at 12936 Ghoston Road in Wake Forest.  DO NOT  turn down Farmer Mary’s neighbors private Road when your GPS says to!
