Farmer Mary enjoyed hosting a special farm field trip with Austistic students and their teachers and parents at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.
Students learned how to feed caged bunnies and guinea pigs, to hold their hands flat to feed the big emu, which of Farmer Maryβs dogs liked to be thrown endless tennis balls
.
They walked the back pasture with peacocks and CLAIRE donkey out into the forest and discovered the amazing emu nest with enormous green eggs, then headed up by the barn to meet the pigs
, donkey, sheep
and goats
.
The baby goats, including this one week old, were a huge hit
