Big Mama birthed this morning…all are doing well including a little black male runt that Farmer Mary is bottle feeding. Come visit!
You can text Farmer Mary at 244-1800 to set up a date and time. She is busy outdoors and rarely gets to email during the day.
Learn MoreFarmer Mary knew Petunia the pig was expecting But wasn’t sure when the piglets would arrive. Well, when Farmer Mary thought about it, she hadn’t seen Petunia yesterday, but with the extreme heat she assumed the pigs were hanging out in the cool garage. When she went out an hour ago to feed them, Farmer Mary was pleasantly surprised to see lots of baby pigs running around. Petunia obviously needed no help and the piglets, although two are small, seem healthy.
Petunia does not seem to mind people holding the babies so come visit Winterpast Farm soon!
Learn MoreOur new male Indian Runner duck has a great fondness for Elliot who is one of many geriatric dogs who like a nice farm vacation when their family heads to the beach or other destinations. Elliot dons his blue bandana and starts his second life of “meeter and greeter” at the gate at Winterpast Farm.
Our new male duck, who still needs a name, started following him around. FArmer Mary thought he was warning the dog to stay away from his wives and fourteen ducklings, but the duck started grooming Elliot and hangs out with him most of the day very congenially.
