Get outdoors and “air the in-laws” or just take a nice forest walk after eating too much this Thanksgiving.
Stroll ten fenced acres with an emu
Meet, feed and hold some nice chickens
Watch the male turkey do his dance (for the three females)
Feed “Justin Beiber” the peacock and see his gorgeous tail feathers
Take home some really fresh eggs
Make some family memories together at Winterpast Farm
New Hope Baptist Preschool visited Winterpast Farm last week and had a great time. The weather was the nicest it had been in days
The children, and their parents, all enjoyed meeting and feeding the turkeys.
They walked in the pasture with goats…”Billy Bob”, the Daddy goat, enjoyed some snacks.
The teachers left thinking about renting a bunny for a week for their classroom. Or, maybe the incubator to hatch some eggs!
Learn MoreWinterpast Farm will be closed all day on Saturday, November 17.
Farmer Mary’s daughter, Elizabeth, will be marching in the Raleigh Christmas Parade on Saturday. As part of the color guard team, her group will be holding the school banner and flags in front of the marching band.
Then, in the afternoon, there is a band lunch and award time back at Millbrook High, so the farm will be closed all day.
OPEN SUNDAY after two.
Elizabeth is in the middle, front row.
Had to add a few pictures from the parade.
These were taken while the band waited for their turn to march. It was a gorgeous, sunny day..nice to be with the huge crowds of families enjoying the annual parade.
YOU should have been outside at Winterpast Farm today…you missed ALOT of fun!!
One of Farmer Mary’s frequent visitors had collected feathers and pinecones a few days ago…she came back to show her lovely creations.
Farmer Mary’s oldest son, Ben Armstrong, and friends enjoyed go-carting (on borrowed go-carts) at the farm Saturday before their bonfire.
