Farmer Mary took some of her friendly animals to a VBS in Durham this afternoon.
Children enjoyed meeting, feeding and holding guinea pigs, bunnies, a chicken and a goat.

Yesterday Farmer Mary found a big, green, strange looking caterpillar. She took a picture this morning and it had already spun a light color web.
After googling she found an adult with similar, but more pronounced, coloring.
The identification was a Cecropia Moth which is North America’s largest native moth with a wingspread of six inches.

Farmer Mary and her teens and good friend Bill are rebuilding the old well house and the result will be a new store where visitors can buy food to feed the animals (if they forget to bring some), eggs, a neighbors honey, peacock feathers and more.
