Farmer Mary is taking reservations now for her animals to be a part of local church Live NATVITY programs. Most churches select goats or a goat and lamb combo. Two animals are available for $100 for several hours.
The baby goats available right now are twins JESSE (white and brown) and JAMES (black) but we may have tiny babies (or a Mother/baby combo) available in December.
Chickens, large fluffy bunnies are also available. Farmer Mary rented a chicken to Crossroads Fellowship Church years ago and it laid an egg (very loudly!) during the Live Nativity!
here they are with a young male sheep for size comparison.
Currently DANIEL, a baby lamb born this past Spring, is the available lamb.
Here he is pictured with his full size Mother.
Calling or texting Farmer Mary is always best. 919-244-1800. Email has been funny lately.
Plan a visit to Winterpast Farm and pick up a pinecone and start filling it with a wide variety of beautiful feathers. When you get home add eyes and you have a unique Thanksgiving decoration!
Learn MoreYouth from St. John’s Episcopal Church met at Winterpast Farm this evening to volunteer some service hours and then to enjoy building a bonfire and roasting s’mores.
Kids and adults helped rake leaves and move an animal pen and move branches to build a big fire.
Farmer Mary is always happy to put kids (and adults) to work at Winterpast Farm and is happy to talk about your bonfire plans. She has great wooden handled roasting forks your group can use for hotdogs and s’mores.
Farmer Mary and her son, Thomas, enjoyed hanging out in Five Points in downtown Raleigh this morning at NO FO @ THE PIG.
TURKEY LURKEY enjoyed some feeding and petting by children dressed in Halloween costumes. Many of them had been to breakfast at NO FO with a dressed up “monster”! Bunnies didn’t mind being held by princesses, Spider-Man, a lady bug, cowboys and more! They gobbled up kale and carrots and crackers eagerly.
Week old chicks huddled under their heat lamp and all the animals were happy when the sun came out and the morning warmed up.
Farmer Mary would be happy to talk with you about bringing some of her animals to our home, business or other event.
Farmer Mary enjoyed a morning at one of her favorite schools, RENAISSANCE MONTESSORI of Cary.
Preschoolers, their families and the faculty all enjoyed meeting the baby guinea pigs and other animals who visited the school.
The wonderful multi-level fenced playground/garden area was perfect for TURKEY LURKEY the young turkey to roam around and, when it was in someones arms, the children enjoyed feeling its feathers and bumpy neck.
It was fancy dress day at RENAISSANCE MONTESSORI.
RENAISSANCE MONTESSORI provides preschool as well as before and after school care for older children.
