STRIPEY pig and PETIE pig will be announcing the birth of piglets soon!
Here is STRIPEY pig a few weeks ago.
STRIPEY has moved to a maternity nest in Farmer Mary’s garage (where she herself was born!) and we are counting down the days….Feb 26 is the earliest (for “honeymoon” babies) but definitely in the next few weeks.
STRIPEY’s tummy has hit the ground so Farmer Mary is taking food to her. Any leftovers, stale (not moldy) you have please bring along on your next farm visit or just drop it off at the barn for helping with feeding STRIPEY.

Snow didn’t keep visitors from the farm today. Baby goat twins, DONNA (in red) and DOYLE got lots of loving.
The three week old baby bunnies are a bit jumpy, but loved being snuggled into visitors coats.
Today was the first time the tiny babies of SNOWBALL were held. Their pen was one of the ones that partly collapsed from the weight of the snow on the roof, but they are fine.
text Farmer Mary at 919-244-1800 if you want to come visit. OPEN Saturday 9-5 and Sunday after 1:00.
CHARLIE, the farm dog, probably prefers his usual manly red bandana, but today he is going along with the valentines theme.
SNOWBALL didn’t mind her new babies being photographed..lots of interesting colors! Her unplanned pregnancy was the result of a bunny breakout (of cages) inside Farmer Mary’s house when alot of small animals moved inside during the first big cold of the season. Judging by colors (snowball is pure white), Farmer Mary is pretty sure the Dad was SKIPPER, a newly donated bunny.
BA BA black sheep came over to meet the new bunnies while Farmer Mary was photographing them early this morning.
The new baby goats, DONNA (in red) and DOYLE, had a brief time outside their maternity pen with their mom, MOCHA.
They didn’t seem to mind the snow. Come hold the babies of Winterpast Farm one day soon. OPEN all day today and Saturday.
Farmer Mary and her teens have been busy taking hot water out to all the animals. A few pens got additional tarps once Farmer Mary could determine which way the snow was flying.
Some of the animals headed for the barn or other shelters when the snow started, but others seem to enjoy being out in the flurries.
The new baby goat twins are doing great and Farmer Mary wouldn’t be surprised if the snowy weather doesn’t bring more babies to Winterpast Farm!
Snow is steadily falling…Farmer Mary is going out to collect more eggs so they don’t freeze and crack open.
