Always text Farmer Mary at 919-244-1800 to schedule a visit. Please do not just drop by. The schedule may change. Farmer Mary tries to update regularly both here and at the Winterpast Farm FB page. PLEASE read “your visit” at www.winterpast.org before your visit. It explains in great detail how to schedule a visit, what to bring, animal food you can bring for the animals, how to park, admission prices and more. Please do not call to ask these basic things. You will be interrupting someones farm visit.

YOU can buy a few chicks at the current chick sales at local Tractor Supply or Southern States stores then raise them a few weeks for fun then donate them to Winterpast Farm. All you need is a cardboard box or big plastic storage box and a clamp light. Easy and fun. The chicks develop very quickly the first few weeks…then you can hand them off to Farmer Mary.
One more idea for family fun..from Winterpast Farm.
Try not to be tempted by the darling ducklings!! Farmer Mary already had two donated today. Come snuggle them at Winterpast Farm instead!
The animals at Winterpast Farm had a special snow day breakfast this morning. Fresh pine! Several large branches fell out of the huge pine tree right in front of Farmer Mary’s house. None on the roof 🙂
The goats and sheep and donkeys nibbled all day and smaller branches were given to the bunnies and guinea pigs.
The power went off around midnight until around 5pm so Farmer Mary has been adding extra layers of towels and tarps to the bunny and guinea pig cages in the wellhouse since the space heater was off. Baby lamb CHARLOTTE ROSE didn’t like the dark or the cold or the cold bottles of formula while the electricity was off.
Farmer Mary is THANKFUL to finally have lights back on, the dryer running, warm water to mix up lamb formula, the whole house woodstove running, water (the well motor runs on electricity) and a hot bath!
Two friends of the farm sent Farmer Mary pics of their snow pigs!
Farmer Mary took some of her animals to help celebrate turning 4 today in knoghtdale. And the rain held off!
Guinea pigs, bunnies, Silkie chicks and ALISON the baby goat were all a big hit.
Farmer Mary would be happy to bring some of her animals to YOUR next event -corporate, neighborhood, birthday….
