Silkie breed chickens Re soft and sweet. they have five toes and have black flesh. Farmer Mary often gets requests for Silkies so she has some of her eggs in an incubator at populR farm volunteer Andrew’s house. Andrew took this great picture of inside the egg!

PLEASE read “your visit” at www.winterpast.org if you have not visited the farm. Always text Farmer Maryto arrange your visit. Please be very specific in your text regarding date, time, number of people etc. so scheduling can be handled without endless back and forth texts. For example you might look at the open hours and text “Could a party of three adults and six children visit Friday the 12th at 2?”. Farmer Mary would then, hopefully, only have to text back “yes!” Please don’t text “Are you open today?” When you are visiting you will be happy if Farmer Mary doesn’t spend the whole time answering phone calls! Look at the website.
If you want to buy some eggs let Farmer Mary know when you schedule your visit and you can collect them yourself, if you like!
