Farmer Mary has spotted new baby turtles born recently in the pond at Winterpast. She is slowly transforming her former inground pool into a pond with fish and turtles who were former pets. If anyone has extra free american slots and water plants or spare koi Farmer Mary would be happy to accept donations! With the deep end being 20 feet she wonders just how big a koi would grow! The cheap goldfish she put in four years ago have gone from one inch to up to eight inches in length! Come see the new babies! Bring whole wheat bread, cereal (honey nut cheerios are especially good as well as regular cheerios) and greens (romaine is best, cut in strips. Dandelion greens are good. Collards and kale and parsley are ok) to feed the inhabitants of the pond.

Farmer Mary was at Paramount Montessori School in Morrisville this morning with daughter, Elizabeth, and Belarusian host child Stephen (AND lots of sweet animals from Winterpast Farm!)
Baby chicks, week old baby bunnies, big bunnies, guinea pigs, a baby goose and sweet BETSY the baby goat on a leash all had a fun morning with the young students on their playground.
We counted toes, noted webbing on some feet, compared types of feathers and counted different colors of baby bunnies as well as just had fun meeting, touching and feeding the animals.
Farmer Mary is available to bring some of her animals to schools, camps, neighborhood events, schools and more…just ask!

The students at Baileywick Elementary School raised lots of money to help pay for teacher supplies and field trips. As a reward, the Principal and Vice Principal agreed to kiss a pig! Farmer Mary happily donated her time and her pig!
