Staying warm at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC with new purple C.E. Schmidt insulated overalls from Tractor Supply (big sales right now!) and our Central Boiler whole house woodstove. Farmer Mary’s daughter, Elizabeth, took her turn just now.
Farmer Mary uses empty feed bags to cover gate latches during icy rain like today. This way the latch won’t freeze shut and she won’t have to try to jump over the gate! Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC uses a lot of feed. Most feed is purchased from Tractor Supply in Youngsville or Southern States in Creedmore.

CHARLOTTE ROSE, one of our pregnant sheep, is enjoying the hay buffet this morning at Winterpast Farm. Farmer Mary is very thankful she had this big hay delivery and the time to get it all securely covered before todays weather arrived!.

DORIS the goose always stands by her man at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC. Neither sleet nor snow makes her desert what she considers the perfect male-tall dark and handsome, steadfast and true, and always waiting for her. Farmer Mary wishes she could find a man like that herself but at least she has her little man BARNEY the dachshund who shares all the same attributes (except for tall) He even cries every time she leaves the room!

Chloe, a super farm volunteer, holding DUTCHESS, a newly donated bunny today. DUTCHESS is a sweet three year old Dutch breed bunny. She did great on laps today. Come bring her a carrot and give her a nice snuggle!
ALL ages enjoy snuggling the sweet bunnies at Winterpast Farm Petting zoo in Wake Forest NC. Especially on a beautiful day like today! Farm was open today from 10-5. Sorry if we didn’t see you there! Volunteer extraordinaire, Megan, is holding sweet PRINCESS FLUFFY FACE, a young Lionhead bunny who was donated to the farm a few days after a family purchased her and then found their child was allergic.
