If you have visited Winterpast Farm in the past 9 months you have met BARNEY, better know as Farmer Mary’s little man. BARNEY’s elderly human died after 15.5 years and BARNEY moved to Winterpast Farm to serve as the meet and greet man at the gate when farm visitors arrive.
CHARLIE, pictured here in Farmer Mary’s lap, (along with Farme Mary’s four teens) came from the Wake County Animal Shelter four years ago. He loves to have farm visitors throw him a tennis ball and he is in charge of predator control here at Winterpast Farm.
MAX, pictured here with BARNEY, was found by Farmer Mary a few months ago and is now daughter Elizabeth’s little pal.
He occasionally likes to hang out with farm visitors but tends to sleep alot during the day waiting for his girl to get home from High School.

BETSY the sweetest goat at Winterpast Farm likes walking on a leash. She has been to girls slumber parties, with college kids to events at Lafayette Village, to local parks with families who rented her. BETSY has been on TV and in a wedding. She is available to rent by the day or overnight. Or just come bring her a snack (she loves kale, apple slices, carrots and cheerios) next time you visit Winterpast Farm in Wake Forest NC.

Great pic taken by a friend of the farm. Racing each other are STELLA the miniature horse and OSCAR LULU the male emu at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC. Farmer Maryis always happy to see STELLA run since STELLA was originally part of a hoarding situation and was stuck in a stall with no opportunity to run. One hip is a bit funny and she walks a bit awkwardly but every now and then STELLA remembers that she now has ten acres and she’s off!
