PRIMROSE the goat loves to get on top of this house and eat Maple leaves. Last night’s wind threw down a few branches and all the goats are enjoying a special breakfast snack. Sometimes the goats get up on their back legs to nibble the leaves.
Farmer Mary will stop her van for any leafy branches she sees after storms and she brings them back to Winterpast Farm to feed her goats. Bring along a leafy branch next time you visit!

One pen at Winterpast Farm has three turkey hens and a Tom. They are all the Narragansett breed. The hens have been laying eggs in a nest box and now they are taking turns, sometimes together like in this photo, setting on the eggs. Farmer Mary is hoping to have some baby turkeys (they are called “poults”) within a few weeks.
Visit the turkeys and other animals at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC. The turkeys love to eat grapes, corn, cereal, dry dogfood, grated carrots, kale, crackers, whole wheat bread…bring the good turkey moms a little snack when you visit Winterpast Farm.

What do you see when you look up in YOUR yard? Farmer Mary often sees peacocks like this mature male. Come meet a nice peacock at Winterpast Farm. They will eat kale, grapes, thinly sliced apples, and crackers from your hands. Farmer Mary has peacock eggs from her white peahen (that is what you call the female) in her incubator. Fingers crossed for a good hatch in 27 more days.
