DAY 28- Angora baby bunnies at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC. A very nice family brought their wife/mom to Winterpast Farm this morning to make her birthday wish of petting some animals come true. Holding four baby bunnies at one time for the daily baby bunny photo was easy for this experienced mom. Feeding the emu, petting the donkeys, making DAISY the polka dot pig “sit” for a food treat… Farmer Mary made sure it was a Birthday outing to always remember!

The pond at Winterpast Farm is coming along nicely. Water lilies are getting ready to bloom, purple Water Hyacinths are blooming, lots of frogs are enjoying the pond and a new aquaponic
floating raft built by a student was delivered today. This Fall Farmer Mary will try growing lettuce and kale to feed the animals, all fed by the waste of the turtles and fish in the pond. Another young person is planning how to turn the old diving board into a waterfall. Stay tuned for pond updates.
