We had an unexpected pig visitor today at Winterpast Farm petting zoo. Farmer Mary eventually found she belongs to neighbors who live down the private road behind the Winterpast barn.

All the sheep were together this morning at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC. We assume all the girls are pregnant, but time alone will tell. It is hard to see a round tummy or udder developing under their heavy winter coats. Usually Farmer Mary just sees a new baby or hears a sheep in labor.
In the far back the little dark one is STARDUST. Her Mother, ALBERTA, is to her right. ALBERTA is a Jacob sheep and they can have up to six horns. She has had a 4 and a 5 horned son in the past.
Closer in a long row we see CINDY LOU in a yellow bandana, then CHARLIE BROWN in blue. He is currently our only male, but we had several more during the season of love, so Farmer Mary will try to determine who was the Daddy in each case by quality of the fleece, number of horns and colors when the babies arrive. Meanwhile, CHARLIE BROWN is very happy to have five lovely ladies to himself. To his right is MICHELLE and her Mother, GERMANY.

No babies so FRANCES is out of her pen strolling the front yard with Farmer Mary checking on all the animals this beautiful morning. Farmer Mary is still amazed, but very happy, that all the snow is actually gone!

FRANCES has been moved to a maternity pen where she has been getting extra food treats and lots of nice attention from farm visitors. She particularly loves apple slices, carrots, kale and grapes if you want to bring her a special treat when you visit.
