Thank you to anyone who has sent Winterpast Farm a gift on our Amazon Wish List. Today a soft blue blankie and really nice salt licks arrived. Both will be in a guinea pigs cage in the morning. Usually these come without any notification of who sent them.

Farmer Mary found all sorts of footprints in the snow all over the full ten aces of Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. It is always fun trying to determine what animals are enjoying Winterpast Farm at night and in the forest. Farm visitors today saw emu, deer and racoon prints in the back pasture.
Farmer Mary is thinking of buying an infrared wildlife camera. Do YOU have any experience with a certain brand? There are so many to choose from!

What was inside one emu egg! This is the yolk and white that was inside an emu egg that Farmer Mary found cracked from freezing. She unthawed it and opened it up today at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC.

Winterpast Farm petting zoo open today 1-5. Parking lot shown here is still quite snowy but slushy and melting. Farmer Mary is getting bunnies and guinea pigs out of the heated garage space since the weather has warmed up so nicely. Please realize we have mud and snow here and the entire visit will be outdoors. Emu nest tour today promptly at 1:30.
