Sweet EMMA at about 6 hours old. Farmer Mary had Jury Duty today so daughter, Elizabeth, kept an eye on the animals. Around noon she spied ALBERTA out in the back pasture with a brand new lamb! Mother and daughter are now in a maternity pen. Mama ALBERTA says please bring her some carrots, apple slices, kale or other treats so she can make plenty of milk for baby EMMA.

Farmer Mary and a crew of great teen volunteers from Wake Forest High School moved pens, set up maternity pens, roofed pens and more today at Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC.
One teen volunteer brought these donations of fleece bedding, food, treats and a hay feeder that her little sister had collected in lieu of gifts for her recent birthday. The fleece pads are already in pens being used by bunnies and guinea pigs and the feeder is in a pen where two guinea pigs donated today are already eating some of the donated food out of it.
We can always use pet food and any supplies. Winterpast Farm has a new AMAZON WISH LIST now that can be found under the name of Mary Droessler or Winterpast Farm. Be assured your donations go straight to the animals, many of them former pets. Farmer Mary took in 4 pet guinea pigs just today!

Farmer Mary is cleaning cages and drying things up around here after the big rain last night. Still no baby goats or lambs but ALBERTA the sheep is laying down looking highly uncomfortable! Perhaps today we will have some big news.
