Ready, get set, go! And they’re off! ALBERTA the pregnant Jacob sheep has her head down taking the lead. STELLA the mini horse is neck in neck with CLAIRE the mini donkey. Our other mini donkey, MABEL, is not sure why anyone would choose to leave the cozy barn where she for one is very content to be munching on hay.

Meet EEYORE the baby bunny who is just 8 weeks old and who moved to Winterpast Farm a few days ago. EEYORE is a “Velveteen” (unofficial) breed which is a mix between a velvety soft Rex and a super long eared French Lop. This photo with Farmer Mary’s daughter makes him look bigger than he really is. Farmer Mary and her daughter are enjoying Wildlife Rehab training at the NCSU Vet School all day today. Just superglued and wired together a broken turtle shell and getting ready to learn how to do a necropsy for a wide variety of birds. Tomorrow we have labs for mammals and learn the ltest tips on how to give shots and fluids to distressed animals.
