Great bonfire potluck party in the back pasture at Winterpast Farm tonight celebrating Graduation and Senior Superlatives for the Millbrook High School IB Diploma Program Class of 2017.
The group of students, faculty and families all enjoyed touring the petting zoo and holding bunnies and baby chicks then had a great meal and dancing went on long after dark.

Last year on April 19 Farmer Mary saw one of the aquatic turtles digging in the dirt around the edge of the pond at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. The pond is a former in-ground pool that Farmer Mary now has filled with former pet fish, former pet turtles and a variety of water plants.
Probably this turtle was looking for a place to lay eggs so we are hoping to see some baby turtles soon!

Good morning from Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. This morning when Farmer Mary went outside to check on peachicks, two more darker colored had just hatched (still damp) under broody hens and one egg was just starting to break in half. Farmer Mary brought them inside to put under a heat lamp with the one white peachick from last night. Three more to come, we hope.
BTW: Everything looks orange due to the red colored heat lamp bulb.

DAISY he micro mini “teacup” pig (who grew and grew as all pigs do) was a very expensive pet pig who outgrew her original home. Please SHARE with friends who think they want a “mini pig”. Farmer Mary is offered a pig that “grew bigger than the breeder said” every single week of every year. Pigs grow big. DAISY loves back rubs and tummy rubs and will happily eat out of your hand. She loves celery, apple slices, green beans, carrots, cereal and more.
