Farmer Mary turned her inground pool into a pond at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. She takes in unwanted pet turtles and fish who now enjoy a large community life here at Winterpast Farm. Farmer Mary is always happy to take donated aquatic plants and sun loving perennials to plant around the pond.
Visitors are welcome to bring whole wheat bread, romaine lettuce or cheerios to throw into the pond. Turtle and fish pellets are on the farm Amazon Wish List.
