This is the time of year that the mature male peacocks at Winterpast Farm molt their long beautiful feathers. They used these feathers to impress the lady peacocks (called peahens) a few months ago during the brief season of peacock love. We have some cute baby peacocks you can see here at Wintetpast Farm! The long “eye” feathers are for sale. Farmer Mary sells the feathers to help pay for feed for all the peacocks and other animals at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.
