If you ask Farmer Mary will usually let you out in the pasture to pet a pig. This is DAISY the “micro mini” “teacup” pig whose original owners were told would only get to 35 pounds.
Farmer Mary is offered a pet pig who “grew bigger than the breeder said” EVERY week of EVERY year. Do not buy a pig and expect it to stay small!!!DAISY is actually white with black spots in the winter; during the summer she is North Carolina red clay colored since she loves her mud puddle on hot days.

The male peacocks have shed their fancy tail feathers this time of year and Farmer Mary has the prettiest ones for sale. This helps to feed all the peacocks including the females (called Peahens) and babies (called Peachicks). We have a solid white baby that Farmer Mary hopes will be a male. It can take over a year and a half to determine the gender of a Peachick.

Four eggs in the latest turkey nest! Turkeys, in Farmer Mary’s experience, rarely lay more than one nest each year and this will be TURKEY LURKEY’s third. We are hoping for some baby turkeys which are called “poults”.
