DUSTY the Lionhead bunny from Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC enjoyed meeting lots of NCSU students today at “Shack-a-Thon” on The Brickyard.
One of several dozen shacks on The Brickyard, this Game of Thrones themed shack was built and staffed by students of IMPACT Leadership Village and some from the Engineering Village. Farmer Mary’s youngest son is a Freshman in the IMPACT Leadership Village.
Farmer Mary will be there again on Thursday evening from 6-8 with more animals to meet and hold. Bring along $1 cash to hold an animal for a great photo. All proceeds go to Habitat For Humanity.

DUSTY And RUSTY the Lion Head bunnies were earning money for Habitat for Humanity today at “Shack-a-thon on The Brickyard at NCSU. Farmer Mary had BUTTERCUP the baby goat along too.
This week Farmer Mary’s youngest son, Thomas, a Freshman at NCSU, is participating in “Shack-a-Thon”. This fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity happens every year on campus. Clubs and groups from different majors build a tiny house on the Brickyard in front of the D. H. Hill Library. They commit to build it in one day, staff it 24 hours a day for a week, then dismantle it in a day, donating all materials to Habitat.
They also raise funds to help Habitat construct a single home. Thomas’s group from IMPACT Leadership Village has partnered with the Engineering Village. Their shack has a Game Of Thrones theme so has a handmade throne inside.
Farmer Mary will be back with animals tomorrow around 1-6.
