A full winters load of hay is supposed to arrive today so Farmer Mary has her fingers crossed for rain to never arrive or to end by 5! Her entire winter supply of hay is scheduled for delivery this evening so fingers crossed for clear weather for hay unloading!

Baby guineas are growing fast! Farmer Mary has the babies (called “keets”) in a brooder which is a wooden box with a heat lamp.
The guinea mom has proven to be a less than mindful mother in the past so this time Farmer Mary took all the babies to raise. They will be moving to another larger pen soon then a larger pen and then released to hang out with the adult guineas including their parents.
Some will be for sale which helps Farmer Mary feed all the birds living at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.
Quite a few are Lavender colored so will be a purply light gray with white polka dots all over when mature.
Come see them soon at Winterpast Farm. We are this Saturday from 10-5 for visits and this Sunday 12-5.
