The chickens and our hedgehogs are already enjoying the mealworms. The bunnies and guinea pigs loved the hay. The corn cobs will be added to each $5 mixed buckets Farmer Mary has for sale for visitors to purchase to feed the animals. The tarp went on a pen last night just before the rain. The soap is in the barn awaiting handwashing for farm visitors.

Mini donkeys MABEL and CLAIRE are enjoying a late afternoon snack of fresh pumpkin at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. We had more visitors cutting pumpkins today and all ages enjoyed watching the pigs, goats, sheep, emu and donkeys all eat the leftover glop and seeds. Some decided to go ahead and throw their whole cut pumpkin to the animals and enjoyed watching them eat it.
Farmer Mary will keep her pumpkin cutting tools out for the next week or so and we still have a few pumpkins for sale if you would like to carve your pumpkin at the farm.

Hello from one of the ducks at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC! This beautiful duck was brought to Farmer Mary as a tiny fuzzy gray duckling last Spring. It had appeared alone in a local backyard. It has grown into a gorgeous duck. It doesn’t hang out with the other ducks at all, preferring to be alone or else with some of the chickens who were about the same size when it arrived. Farmer Mary put the duckling in a pen with them and they all got along great.
