A few more newborn lamb pics from yesterday afternoon at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. Farmer Mary happened to be in the old tobacco barn just when the lighting was amazing while baby FAITH and her mama spent some time together. Tonight they are in a maternity pen laying under a light while mama eats kale and carrots. Room service for new mothers is excellent at Winterpast Farm.

The former pet turtles are waking up from their winter hibernation in the pond at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. Farmer Mary caught this one basking lately on a sunny day and used the opportunity to practice her reflective style of photography.
Farmer Mary turned her old inground pool into a pond where former pet turtles and fish now live. On sunny days recent farm visitors have spotted turtles basking on the branches Farmer Mary has laid across the shallow end.
Very soon Farmer Mary will turn on the diving board waterfall and she will hang up the catapult that Farm visitors can use to feed the fish and turtles. Plain Cheerios, whole wheat bread, and romaine lettuce are all favorites.

Today the farm is closed due to rain. The bunnies can’t get wet and the larger animals are all in the old tobacco barn out of sight. Farmer Mary is heading out soon to check for new baby lambs just in case- Tomorrow we will be open for visits, with rain long gone we hope, from 10-5.
