Volunteers at Winterpast Farm get lots of unusual kisses! And sometimes, like today, they are along with Farmer Mary when she discovers a huge emu egg nest with 14 eggs! Farmer Mary will set up some FB events soon for a pasture walk/emu egg nest viewing at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC!
Here you can see the huge green emu egg size compared with an average chicken egg. A limited number of the emu eggs are for sale ($25). Why not buy one to impress or gift a foodie friend!? The emu have started laying their amazing huge green eggs once again at Winterpast Farm a Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC!
Farmer Mary will be taking groups at VERY specific times on a walk way back through the pasture into the back forest to see the nest at exactly 10am, 1pm and 4pm on Monday January 21. If you are late you will have to wait for the next time. This is not a time for petting pigs or hanging out in the barnyard although goats and sheep may join the walk and can be petted. The walk will not include lingering in the back pasture.
A few fresh emu eggs are for sale for foodies. ($25) An egg will be available for holding by careful visitors for truly unique photos.

Rain closed the farm to visits today but PACKER the baby goat had a great afternoon helping a local girl celebrate her birthday at her house. MUSTACHIO the bunny went out for a week long rental.
