Turtle food, koi food, dried crickets, also thinly sliced apples, kale, cooked corn kernels, peas (unthawed frozen or fresh), grapes, collard greens, bok choy, (NOT ICEBERG LETTUCE) collards, mealworms (live or dried) thinly sliced or grated carrots, green beans, dandelion greens, parsley, clover are all things you can bring along to feed the fish and turtles. Farmer Mary also has small bags of fish/turtle feed for sale for $1.

Met BOB the little Bantam chicken who lays a little white egg daily at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. BOB moved to Winterpast Farm after all her friends were killed by a predator at her old home. She is very smart and a true survivor!

Yesterday young students at Hayes Barton Baptist Preschool in Raleigh enjoyed a fun visit from some of the sweet animals from Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. TINY TIM the baby goat -and bunnies DUSTY and RUSTY and ZEBRA and guinea pigs LIKY, FIONA, MILKSHAKE, OREO and COOKIES&CREAM all enjoyed nibbling the green grass while they were there! SONIC the hedgehog also enjoyed getting a lot of attention!

Two Kindergarten classes from Olds Elementary School enjoyed a fun Farm Field Trip this morning at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. Farmer Mary had them all turn their heads in this pic to avoid any unwanted facial recognition.
Petting and throwing balls to HENRY the puppy was a huge hit as was feeding all the other animals from emu to sheep and goats and bunnies and playing on all the different swings and climbing ropes.
The group enjoyed walking the back pasture and forest and talking about different types of trees which is something they are learning about in school.
