Many of the animals are former pets that have been donated to Winterpast Farm. Most are also available through Farmer Mary’s unique Pet Rental program. THOMAS the Blue Slate turkey obviously didn’t get the memo that the season of turkey love ❤️is over for this year. He has been strutting around his wife TURKEY LURKEY all afternoon at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC.
🦃 Turkeys are seasonal breeders and THOMAS and all the male peacocks (which are also seasonal breeders) are molting their long tail feathers which they will regrow just in time to try to win the hearts of the ladies in the springtime.
