🐇Pet Rental allows people to have an interesting animal experience without having to “own” the animal. YOU can help Farmer Mary recycle existing pets instead of just creating more.

🐐🐐No baby goats yet. Farmer Mary moved CAITLINN into a maternity pen last night. She later broke out of the pen so Farmer Mary just let her back out in the pasture. FRANCES and BUTTERCUP are also looking very ripe! Please be assured Farmer Mary will post births immediately. No need to message or text asking her if the “kids” have arrived yet.

Emu eggs glow like jade in their nest on a rainy day at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. A limited number of the fresh eggs are for sale ($25). Sales help Farmer Mary continue to care for and to feed all of the animals living at Winterpast Farm.

🌧During rain the large animals head out of sight in the barn and all the bunny cages are covered up with tarps. Farmer Mary can’t magically keep seating dry and it isn’t healthy for the bunnies to get wet. Maybe we will have baby goats born today!

Occasionally on warm days in winter you might spy one of the former pet turtles who now call the pond at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo home. Did you know that Farmer Mary has upcycled her old in ground pool into a home for unwanted fish and turtles? The diving board is now a waterfall! 🌼In the spring and summer you can feed the animals in the pond with Farmer Mary’s very cool catapult. Then you will see fish and turtles🐢 and dragonflies and hummingbirds daily. This time of year the fish and turtles are hibernating and we don’t feed them. If they are a lot on a warm day and then it turned cold again the food could rot in their stomach and kill them!
