This very handsome guy may meet and greet you when you pull into the parking lot at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. He and the other males have molted their long tail feathers this time of year and if you look closely you will see next year’s tail feathers starting to regrow. Farmer Mary has the long beautiful feathers for sale which helps her continue to care for and feed all the animals (including five baby peacocks that hatched July 16!) living at Winterpast Farm.

After their original human had an unexpected stroke at a very young age, two sweet guinea pig friends named MAPLE and ROXY were brought all the way from Florida a few days ago to join the animal family at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. Farmer Mary sent this update to their human mom.
🍉MAPLE and ROXY are settling in well and getting used to living in their new two story home. Bring them some food treats and perhaps they will try sitting on your lap soon at Winterpast Farm.
