OREO the Lionhead bunny had a great vacation with a local family through Farmer Mary’s unique Pet Hosting Program.
The program recycles existing pets and gives people of all ages a chance to try out a small caged pet before purchasing one. And about 98 percent decide NOT to purchase a small caged pet after a highly informative week of hosting. This cuts down the number of animals that end up in shelters or donated to Winterpast Farm.
“Rent for a week and get over it” says Farmer Mary. You can read more at the Pet Hosting pages at winterpast.org. Thank you for helping spread the word to all your animal loving friends. Bunnies, guinea pigs, hedgehogs available. In the spring baby chicks and occasionally baby ducklings are available.
