HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY CHICK

Farmer Mary welcomed a sweet new baby to Winterpast Farm today with the help of a pair of warm hands. A chick was having trouble getting out of the egg today and the mom hen was seen “helping” a bit harshly so Farmer took the chick to hatch. A sweet young farm visitor watched over it for hours. You will see ROSIE the Great Dane who loves to greet all new animals at Winterpast FarmThe chick finally shed the shell and soon fluffed up under a heat lamp. It has now joined other two day old chicks in a warm brooder.

Winterpast Farm will be OPEN FRIDAY for visits from 10-5. Maybe QUEEN ELIZABETH goat will have her babies that day. She is getting VERY wide. All the baby goats enjoyed alot of snuggling today.
