🌧️🐰Farmer Mary is getting the bunnies and guinea pigs moved into her garage at Winterpast Farm in Wake Forest NC. This will protect them from Tropical Storm Debby. Do you see any of YOUR favorites?
🌧️Usually with rain the outdoor hutches are covered with tarps and if it’s windy Farmer Mary adds bungee cords, but super heavy rain plus wind means moving everyone to safety. We always have empty clean cages ready in the garage for the number of small caged animals we have living outdoors. These garage cages are also used during the coldest nights in winter.
🐰Right now quite a few bunnies and guinea pigs are being hosted in local homes so there weren’t many to move. 🐰🐰🐰Three bunnies who have been adopted from Winterpast are here on their Farmstay vacation while their humans are traveling. 🐇FERGUS is here and OREO Lop’s two children 🐰🐰are also here for a week. 🤞🏽Fingers crossed the storm passes by and doesn’t cause major damage at Winterpast.
Winterpast Farm is CLOSED TODAY and probably closed for the next few very rainy days. Farmer Mary will post updates.
🌈On a sad note sweet beloved MR BROWN the guinea pig has crossed the rainbow bridge last night. He will be buried on blueberry hill just past the pond at Winterpast. MR BROWN has many fans and we will miss him dearly. #rip
