Yesterday Farmer Mary accidentally broke two emu eggs. Here is what was inside. One perfect yolk and one that was starting to go bad. An average emu egg is equal to from 6-8 chicken eggs.
The emu at Winterpast Farm haven’t laid more eggs since the big snow so we have no fresh emu eggs to sell for eating. However, Farmer Mary has an intact egg to view and , now, some broken shells to touch when you visit Winterpast Farm petting zoo in Wake Forest NC.
