JOSEPH The peacock at Winterpast Farm is displaying his feathers to impress his lady friends. This photo was taken today bynone of our new teen volunteers extraordinaire. The season of peacock love is early Spring. Our turkey, another seasonal layer who only lays this one time of year unlike chickens who lay eggs year round, has just started laying eggs so peacock eggs should be appearing soon!
All the bunnies and guinea pigs and hedgehogs are warm in our new heated garage space tonight and will probably stay there a few more days while it is so cold.
CATY the goat is due to “kid” soon-Farmer Mary thinks it will be a single but twins are always nice! CATY is in a special maternity pen with extra feed and treats.
BETSY the goat is recovering nicely from her c-section and will soon be back in the pasture at Winterpast Farm.
