Wonder why you never or rarely see Farmer Maryβs Facebook posts from Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC even though you βFollowβ the farm Facebook page?

FaceBook has done a massive update and peopleβs follow settings have changed. If you go to the Winterpast Farm Facebook page and hit the follow button, then click edit notifications, and click default or see first (depending on how youβd like it) you should start seeing more of Farmer Maryβs posts.

But unless youβre interacting immediately with Farmer Maryβs posts, thereβs a chance Facebookβs algorithm will simply hide her post forever so no one will see it no matter how many βFollowersβ the farm Facebook page has.

Facebook does this because they want Farmer Mary, as a public Page and presumably a business, to pay for all visibility through Facebook Ads. Currently only about 10-50 people see any of the Winterpast Farm daily posts down from over 1000 just last year!

Interacting can be:
-liking a post
-commenting on a post
-even a πor β€οΈas a comment makes a huge positive difference
-reacting to other peoples comments on the post since what Facebook says it wants is interaction between people
-sharing a post
When people interact with a post then Facebook sends it on to more people to view and hopefully to interact with.

If YOU want to help Farmer Mary keep operating Winterpast Farm please comment on and occasionally share her FaceBook posts. Just βlikingβ a post doesnβt help at all any more. The bar keeps being raised higher and higher as Facebook wants every single post to be paid for in order for them to allow farm followers to ever see it. Winterpast Farm does NOT have an advertising budget!
