Farmer Mary and some of her animals visited New Hope Baptist Church Preschool in Raleigh this morning.
The baby chicks had already spent the day before at the preschool and Farmer Mary also brought bunnies, guinea pigs, a baby turkey and JESSE the baby goat.
JESSE the goat loved the market area and dove right into a basket of carrots!
Children had a chance to pet and feed the animals.
The Fall decor was excellent and the children of all ages enjoyed the Farmers Market where they selected food, bagged it then took it to the “store” and used bills to pay for it. Some children then used that food to feed the animals. What a great real life lesson!
The Fall sensory tables included whole corn for scooping and measuring as well as dried beans and plastic farm animals. JESSE the baby goat took n the job of cleaning up any corn that hit the ground!
The very last class, of extremely well behaved two year olds, had fun shucking corn and we fed it to the guinea pigs and bunnies.
Farmer Mary is happy to talk with you about bringing her animals to your next preschool event, indoors or out!
