Farmer Mary and some of her animals enjoyed a fun morning outdoors today with Benson Memorial United Methodist Church preschoolers.
The children had numerous Fall themed activities, amongst which was a visit to Winterpast Farm petting zoo. They met JESSE the baby goat.
They petted a variety of Winterpast Farms soft, sweet bunnies and guinea pigs of all ages.
The guinea pigs played their favorite “pigs under a blanket” game, snuggling together on the cloudy morning.
The children were asked to pick their favorite bunny. RUBY, the white bunny with charcoal ears and nose and ruby colored eyes was voted “BEST BUNNY”.
TURKEY LURKEY, the young turkey, was very popular and drew children to its cage with its odd turkey sounds. TURKEY LURKEY enjoys visiting schools and hops right in the cage when Farmer Mary gets ready to load up animals for away events.
Everyone was thankful the rain held off despite some morning clouds.
Farmer Mary is happy to visit preschools for indoor and outdoor events. She will also rent temporary classroom pets (see the tab at the top of the front page of the website for more information). She has brought animals to a Birthday in the classroom..consider that easy way to celebrate a young child’s Birthday!
