Farmer Mary started her day with a visit to United Methodist Church of Wake Forest where preschoolers enjoyed visiting with some of Winterpast Farm’s baby chicks, a baby turkey, bunnies, guinea pigs and more.

The baby chicks did well for their first time in a pen with bunnies and the adult guinea pigs.

Children fed the animals carrots bread and crackers they had brought for the animals. Farmer Mary was happy to take the leftovers back to the farm to feed her many other animals.

The baby goat, JESSE, was popular and ate and ate and ate…

Getting a class group photo was pretty funny.

Teachers of each class were given Winterpast Farm business cards to send home with the students. Often during a school visit there isn’t time to have children hold the animals, so parents are encouraged to bring their children to the farm where they can hold and pet and feed these animals as well as the llama, donkeys, sheep, peacocks, goose, chickens, other goats, emu and more. See www.winterpast.org or go to winterpastfarm on FB for lots of pictures and more information about visiting the farm.
