Pouring rain now and Farmer Mary and the Farmers Daughter are watching LUNA’s twins in the maternity pen at Winterpast Farm Petting Zoo in Wake Forest NC. See a fun video at Winterpast Farm on Facebook or winterpast_farm on Instagram. The farm is CLOSED for the rest of today.
Today we discovered a nest of turkey eggs
and Farmer Mary is hoping that TURKEY LURKEY will set on the eggs and we will have babies (called “poults”).
The male peacocks kept their beautiful tails up most of the day flirting with the girls. The season of turkey and peacock love has begun
.
Please read the entire “Your Visit” section at www.winterpast.org to learn how you can schedule a farm visit, our admission price (cash only) and a list of food you can bring to feed all the animals.
Please do not try to feed the baby goats or the lambs while you are here-they only drink their moms milk!!
Come snuggle the baby goats! They won’t stay little for long!
