Three emu eggs from Winterpast Farm are being incubated by a local family. Farmer Mary will post updates. Fingers crossed for baby emu in about 55 days.
The emu haven’t laid fresh eggs in a few days and these were laid before the big snow. Farmer Mary had taken them inside to keep them from freezing. So, we are hoping they are fertile and hoping they will develop. Time will tell…

CLOSED Sat Jan 21 while Farmer Mary attends a Wildlife Rehab conference at the NCSU Vet School
CLOSED Sun Jan 22 for 2nd day
OPEN Mon Jan 23 from 10-5(emu nest tour 11:30,1:30,4:00)
CLOSED Tues Jan 24-Jury Duty. Farmer Mary can’t post any more open hours until she finds out how long the case will run.
