Farmer Mary brought some of her animals to Triangle Montessori Academy in Cary this morning. Students of all ages enjoyed learning about, petting and feeding the animals. Farmer Mary pointed out the wide variety of textures, numbers of legs, numbers of toes and other unique qualities of each of the animals such as the fact that yellow baby ducklings turn into big white ducks.
Farmer Mary is happy to visit schools and other places with her mobile petting zoo. This morning a family who regularly visits and volunteers at Winterpast Farm donated the cost of the visit to the school where their daughter attends.
